Mini Maze Books for My GodDaughter

My Baby Goddaughter started school this month, she hardly seems old enough but there she was in her shiny new uniform ready to learn on the first day of term, my Cousin reports that Honor-Mae is having a great time at "big" school and comes home each day full of what she's done and things she's learnt.
I received some photos via email form my Uncle of Honor in her school uniform and wanted to make something pretty for my Aunt and Cousin to remind them in years to come of how eager she was to go to school. Honor is not only one of the youngest in her class she was also born 14 weeks premature, thankfully she is a very healthy happy little girl and shows no signs of having any learning difficulties.
I used one sheet of DCWV cardstock to make the main part of each maze book and matted each page with PP bought from my local garden centre craft corner. Adding little bits and bobs to fill the pages, normally I would have used more photos but I only received 6 shots of Honor in her uniform so I had to improvise.

They will get popped in the post tomorrow, hopefully Honor-Mae will approve :)

Sunday Scrappings

With Trav at work (on a call out) again today I thought I'd take a day off and complete some LO's. I walked the girls nice and early and settled at my crafting table and stayed there all day.
Intent on using up some of my older papers that have been siting about I attacked my hoard of WeRMemoryMakers papers using these papers for all of my LO's today.
THE LONG STONE
I also used some PM cardstock. Prima flowers with buttons and a gem brad. The title is a mix of Thickers, PM's and some lovely rub-on's I have.

BOYS TOYS
My second LayOut for the day is about Trav's new toy....... He has been nagging me for ages about having a media centre for the lounge and finally when our DVD player gave up the ghost a few weeks ago I agreed we could "star- trek" the lounge. Now instead of a remote control we have a remote keyboard!!!!
But my nerd is happy so I am Happy :)
This is lifted from a Pencillines Sketch #103
more of my lovely Foof-a-La buttons, Thickers and Journaling stamp .
YOU GUYS* KNOW HOW TO HAVE FUN
I really enjoyed making this LO. I had so many photos I wanted to use on this LO but I didn't want to cram them all in so I used this book effect. many more buttons some lace and more of my favorite PM ribbon.
The title is a mix of Thickers and my new PM alphas some rub-ons and some handwritten words.

I hid a journaling block behind the bottom photo.
and of course there's little bugs on every LO.

Camera Day

Well scrap your day has now been dubbed "Camera Day" in our house. Everyone at school thinks I'm totally mad :) but to be honest you do need to be all little bit Kooky to work in the SEN & Inclusion dept of a high school :)

So I managed to take over 300 photos on Thursday mostly of the dogs on the beach as they played in the surf. I spent most of my working day in my new classroom trying to complete a timeline display that runs the length of the classroom to show the students what their two year XL programme will consist of.
As in past months, I have tried to use my favorite embellishments which at the month are ribbons and lace. Of course my lovely Foof-a-La buttons have to get a look in. I used some rub-ons for the weather cloud and September. I have added some Thickers as I really like them at the moment, I put the date on both pages as this month we were focusing on "reflections". I love the piccy of Diggory on the beach with his reflection showing in the wet sand. other reflection photos are my makeup and me with bedhair taken into the mirror, and the light reflected in my cola can.
I have tried to make the pages quite simple this month matching photos in pairs.
  • Me in the morning v Trav in the morning (I'm up and about the minute I wake whereas Trav is a sleepy head in the mornings and has to drag himself out of bed).
  • My work desk in my classroom v My dressing table at home.

Mini book for Clara

My friend Clara loved my classroom calender so much that I offered to make her one. She sent me so many lovely photos that I thought I would make her a minibook as well.
I usd a mix of papers and lots of different embellies.

There are two envelopes holding a journalling card and more photos. That are held in place with a mini magnet so they doesn't fall out and get lost.
Clara's dogs are called Molly and Spike they are my Grandpups from Suki and Gracie.

nOt yOurs..... "it's my chew" said Gracie

During my lunch break today I was having a look at pencillines blog and came across this sketch. I wanted to scrap it straight away....... but as I was at work, it was not to be :(

It was funny but I knew instantly what photo and papers I wanted to use.
I used some of my favorite K&Co paper with some pink and green CS and the corner from a sheet of making memories pretty scalloped paper.

The built up flower is bazzill and prima with a beautiful Autumn leaves pink button. layered onto a flower from the K&Co paper. I used some more of the lovely lace given to me during the summer, a scrap of ribbon from my ribbon box & of course a little ladybird she is pink but looks red in this photo.
These are the last of this pack of Thickers, I have a few odds and sods left over that I'm sure I can use here and there but think I need another pack of these ;)

Bang!!!!!!!

Well........... it is called an EXPLODING box ;)
I started this yesterday during the last hour or so of our crop. I wanted to get as much of it done as possible so I cracked on with it this evening after dinner and BANG!!! it's done.
I made the main box & lid from four sheets of Coredenations (sp?) CS using two pale one Medium and one dark green.
I found this lovely spotty green paper in my Costco pack.
and added some ribbons buttons Lace and Primas to finish.
I also added a little doodling and a few ladybirds.
The photos where all sent via email from my friend and I believe this is going to be a gift for her mother (or maybe Grandmother??).
Now all I need to do is find a nice little box and some bubble wrap so I can package it up safely and pop it in the post to her. Hope you like it Lesley :)

The Wight Craft Crop Circle.

We held our second Crop today, and what a lovely day it was. 6 hours spent in the company of like minded ladies scrapping and chatting.
FANTASTIC!!!
I didn't think I'd got much done .... but in fact I'm quite pleased with all my hard work.
PHOTOS from ACROSS the POND.
This is my first Lo of the day. i used some of my lovely Costco papers and some Bazzill CS. I used a few different fonts and doodled some dots with my lovely white Souffle pen.

SLEEPING BEAUTY.
This Lo was a real quick on. I think it took just over half an hour. I had a plan in my mind for these three photos and it came together really easily.
Very plain I just used PM CS in cream and black, I wanted to echo the clean sharp look of the photos and just added a few primas, ribbon and some lace to finish. I also made a Calender for a lovely friend of mine, but I want her to be the first to see it so just a few sneak peaks that don't give anything away.

To finish the afternoon I made a start on this exploding box that I am making for another friend's mother. I only got as far as making the box and lid and matting some of the pages.

I've been good again today! No crafting at all!!!

....................and no I haven't gone mad and I'm not telling fibs. I haven't done a scrap (excuse the pun) of crafting so far this weekend. I wrote an essay last night and another one this morning and have been really good and done some revision for my history field trip on Wednesday to Carisbrooke Castle.
I did get a lovely surprise in the post this morning I ordered these Ladybug key fobs from Etsy at the end of the summer holidays and they arrived today I just love them. don't you think they go well with my LB key ring? I have one for my Car key one for my house keys and one to take to work for my classroom and desk keys.
these grumpy little lady's came in the same package they are so sweet :)
We had a lovely family around this morning to meet us and talk about the possibility of becoming owners of one of our puppies. Hopefully if all goes well we will be seeing them again soon with some good news :) their little girl Mia was quite excited when she saw my crafting station and had a fun hour drawing me a picture and sticking on some embellishments. I think they have a scrapbooker in the making here.

Trav popped out to staples this afternoon for some printer paper and ink and found these little notebooks for a snap at 70p. he knew I'd love them so picked up two for me....... such a sweet man!!!! and just to squeeze in a little crafting here's something I made earlier in the week

My Urban Tiger...........Roooooooar!!!

Vinnie is my Urban Tiger................ he rules the roost where the dogs are concerned they get a quick dab on the nose it they step out of line and he's gone in a flash if their play gets too out of hand. I used another sheet of scalloped paper and drew an outline on this PP before hand cutting it out. the Roarrrr is hand draw and then doodled on. this journaling took a steady hand I'm not overly pleased with it as it's not straight but i never did like things to be too perfect.
This title was printed on the computer and then cut out, and there's a little bug hiding away in there somewhere.

I Love.................. minibook

A mini book about things I LOVE............
I wanted to have the pages at different heights and lengths but still to look like they were meant to be together. I used a mixture of paper brands but they are all scraps no full sheets (I am slowly making a dent in my scraps box)
I used loads of thickers in a few different fonts.
Prima flowers and BG brads.
I often need one of these after a hard day at work ;)

this pocket holds a journaling card
I used my new Technique Tuesday stamps to add words to the corners of my photos

I had to add my favorite coffee cup and travel mug.
Hidden journaling again this time about being a breeder of cocker spaniels
and not forgetting ............... I love LadyBirds
