IKEA!

After a trip to IKEA (or the bowels of Hell as Trav now calls it) yesterday and a lot of hard work on Trav's part. I have a new crafting space, and I lOve it!!!!!
My plans were to just buy two comfy bar stools to sit at my tall crafting table a shelving unit and maybe a small Expedit (SP?) bookcase. However things when very wrong!!!! or right It's just a matter of how you look at it :)

I was talked into the new desk (I promise that is Trav's fault!!!) I fell in love with the little red stool and plan to move it next to the desk when I craft to use as a paper table. I have wetwipes and tissues in the draw and my Thickers and Alphas's are stored on the little shelf.

The little red chair was a must as I sometimes have a friend over to scrap and also I fell in love with it as well. I'm really temped to buy a second one and scrap my black office chair and the little red one is so comfy. The cushions, you can just see the one on my chair in the bottom right hand corner & and the one on the new red chair, where a pair and cost just under a £10. I also bought a new bin, it's under the table and has a lid to stop the spaniels raiding it for cake wrappers and sticky tape.
This is four pods larger than I planned but I love it and am pleased I bought this size as I have filled it up very quickly! The three black baskets hold a range of supplies from Dye's to spare DST. I still need to sort the tangle of wires out behind my Ipod dock but that Trav's department ahe bought some hose (that looks like something from the back of a washing machine) to control the mess with, and has promised me he'll sort it tonight. My WRMK 12x12 albums just fit in the pods (relief I forgot to measure them) it's lovely to have everything in one place. the only dowfall was my computer tower wouldn't stand on the table legs so it is on the top of the bookcase, I suppose this way everyone can see how pretty it is. It's the white box with purple flowers and sparkles (another Trav purchase) right at the top of the piccy.
The table it's self is stunning!!!!!
It's tempered glass and the underside is coated with a flowers and insects transfer. It's differcult to see in this photo as my notice board is reflecting on it. This is another of Travs finds. I really wasn't looking for desks as i was very happy with my quilters table but when I saw this I really wanted it and He made me buy it!!!! lots of arm tqwisting wasn't needed ;)
and I just had to show you all this! In the evening when I turn on my crafting lamp the light through the table throws this pattern on my floor.

Can you see her???? she's the reason I HAD to have the table!
