Wedding Planners for my Niece's

Over the last three Weeks both my beautiful nieces have gotten engaged and are making plans for their forthcoming weddings. Lucie and Steve will be married this September and Kirsten and Rob in 2012, with this in mind I wanted to make them something useful to help them with their plans. As i know Lucie and My sister read this blog i can only post sneak peeks of the finished books. once they arrive safely and the girls have seen them then I'll post full piccy's some everyone can see them.
Other than colours both books are almost the same.
Each 8x8 page is one or two layered envelopes.
I used papers from my Costco pack and cream shimmer card for the lettering.
Titles were cut out using the "doodle" dye's on my BigShot.

Lace and ribbons from my stash to add layers to the pages
I used a mix of ready made embellies all with a wedding theme of course.

Each pocket is large enough to hold notes and cuttings from magazines.

Each of the main wedding jobs has a page and envelope, such as: My Dress, The Suits, Flowers, Seating Plans, Menu.....
Bridesmaids dresses, Venue, Gifts to buy......... and so on
I made notelet sheets on the computer and attached them to some of the pages.
Notes, Wedding jobs, Family to invite, Wedding contacts I used the same font on the notelets as on the Titling. Hope they like them :)

I was giving this Blog award last week by the lovely Fay aka Beautifulily

works Christmas Party
Sex & the City

The journaling reads about how we all rarely get the chance to dress up, so we went with a Sex & the City theme for our Xmas works outing.
Not that there was any and Ryde is a town ;)

Fancy Dress Costumes

At the start of December a friend of ours turned thirty, in celebration of this his wife threw a fancy dress party with the theme "Peter Pan".
Trav having always loved the film "Hook" knew straight away what he wanted his costume to look like
He searched all over on the internet coming up with a big fat blank! unless of course we were prepared to spend a smal fortune, it seems everyone should want to be Capt' Jack sparrow when dressing as a pirate these days. so it was back to the drawing board. Trav did excatly that! he found a pattern for a ladies dress coat adjusted it and made the costume himself! and made a really good job of it!
You R so Clever!

I used Black magic CS, Rusty Pickle Pirate PP with lace and trim left over from Tav's sewing.

After he made such a great job of his costume I asked him to have a go at mine as well, he made another amazing costume and I went to the party as TigerLily the Indian princess, Although I thought the title to my LO was a more fitting Indian name for me ;)
Not so MINI ha ha
I used three shades of Bazzill CS, Cosmo Cricket PP and Journaling tag, buttons lace and ribbon from my stash.

Scrap like you mean it WK2

Also a little behind on posting this LO, I completed this one last Sunday within hours of taking the photo.
Week 2
Use Hearts or Stars

The only new stash used here is the Thickers (just loving this font), everything else is from my cut off's box.

Wight Craft Crop Circle

Our first for the new year was last Saturday and it's taken me until now to photograph the LO's I completed last week and up load them, Reading three books in a week could be somewhat to blame. I have got so stuck into the Twilight stories that I have been unable to put them down, I'm just waiting for my copy of the fourth book to arrive in the post so I can find out what happens to Edward and Bella in the end.

New Years Eve and New Years Day

Promises promises................
I wonder if I will manage to do any of these????

This New Years Eve we have decided to stay in and curl up together in front of the telly, we have a really nice bottle of wine, more cheese than two people "should" be able to eat and the company of cocker spaniels to share our blanket with.

Happy New Year to all my Blogland Chums :)
