SLYMI week 13

Use stamps. I liked this weeks prompt it suited me well. I love using stamps on my LO's and it gave me the chance to use my new free PM stamp.

I used a mix of papers all from my scrap box, a couple of Primas and a tickets from my latest stash order. My LO is a scrap lift from a LO in last months Creativity Life Magazine.

The photo was taken at Carrisbrooke Castle int he "Ladies Window"

SLYMI week 12 and more

This week the plan was to use a sketch and this is my LO.
I used K&Co papers along side some new Autumn leaves paper.

I covered a sparkly K&Co heart with some matching PP and glazed it - twice (trav not thinking it might be wet poked it with his finger!!!!! he made a huge dent in it so I had to re-glaze it. never mind it turned out fine in the end :)
My second LO is about Diggory hair cut this month.
I used more of the same papers some of my lovely new lace and a few primasjust something sweet to leave you with.......
My house is full of cuteness at the moment!

Photography lessons with Travis

It was such a lovely day today we decided to take a trip out to Compton Beach with the BBQ camera and enjoy the spring sun. While there Trav gave me a lesson on how to use my SLR properly, I kinda understand this shutter speed and aperture stuff now......... well enough to get some good shots with the subject in focus and the background out of focus....... all in good time I'm sure I'll get better :)
Anyhow the main reason for going to Compton is they have the most amazing sunsets there. so after our BBQ we wrapped up warm and waited for the sun to start setting.

I took these shots using the timer.

Cropping with the Ladies of the Wight Craft Crop Circle.

So this Saturday was Crop day just four of us this month due to illness's and work rota's but all the same it was a good day and I got a lot done.
I started with this mini maze book. I love making these they are so nice to give as gift's this one is heading across the water to my lovely friend Lesley. the photos were taken during the Feb half term on Appley beach at Ryde IOW, when Lesley her daughter and Daisy the cocker spaniel came to spend the day with me.
I used bazzil CS and Kaisercraft papers a few primas and some buttons and gems here and there.
Once folded up, it looks like this. Making a neat little box, held closed by a BG magnet.
ANYONE FOR WELLY SOUP.
During the same halfterm I spent a day on the beach with Sam (another good friend), her children and their new puppy Willow (one of my grandpups). Shelby got some nice watery wellies while plodging in the surf and when she emptied them we were stunned at just how full they were.
I used some new My Minds Eye PP for this LO and some of my new lace won on Ebay. a BG dragonfly and doddlebug alpha's.
MY MAN.
lastly this LO of my other half. the photo was taken at one of my favour places on the island, Carrisbrooke castle. I have used Bazzill Cs and all the PP is 3bugs in a rug from the Snips and Snails range. i made the concert tickets using Steve's ticket maker and the title is of course thickers.

Ladybird Ladybird..........

My Friend (T) came down to the island last weekend and brought this lovely little bug for me :) she's so cute and really soft and fluffy as well. T knows me really well and she knew the minute she saw this LB in Sainsbugs that I would love her.

She was however slightly too un-spotty to be a true LB

So six buttons later and a little red thread she is a true LB and ready to join the masses of LB's that live with me.

I fond these lovely spotty bits and bobs in Tesco this afternoon, I bought the little pad to use as a scrapping note book the pencils will go in my crafting tote and the larger book is for notes at work.

These came in the post today from Moo.com they are so sweet you get to upload between 1-100 images and they make 100 mini photocards from them (I had them made for business cards so they all have my Dog Breeding details on the back of them). But i think I will manage to use some of them along the way in my crafting.
They are a much better colour than they look in this picture I just took it indoors.

A little piece of Magic

Last nights scrapping resulted in this LO. It's a complete lift of a beautiful LO that was featured in Feb's SI magazine, "I Just adore" by the very talented Lisa Saunders. I thought the LO was so pretty and simple and it suited this photo really well.
The photo is of my good scrapping friend Zoe on a walk we took last month to Quarr Abby.
PPs are Crate Paper and MM noteworthy. used a K&Co chipboard heart a few prima's and some Autumn leaves buttons, with a Jenni Bowlin bingo card.

Not a lot going on..... maybe more today?

I've been so busy this week with the dogs and work so I haven't had much time to get to the craft table. I have however finally managed to get some photos of last Saturdays LO's.
READ WITH ME
The first of myself and my youngest Goddaughter Honor-Mae, taken when we went to visit her last month, she just started school in September and is so excited about being able to read and write.

This my second attempt with this LO I had a nightmare with the layering and made several mistakes when sticking the layers down. It was one of those LO's that never seems to come together and I'm still not 100% happy with it. the scalloped pp is "Crate Paper" and the spotty red pp is "My Minds Eye".
MY ZONE, MY SPACE, MY PEACE OF MIND
My Second LO is last weeks SKYMI with the brief to use punches.
well happy day's I have just been given (by my wonderful friend Alison) three stamping up punches. A scalloped circle, a circle and a scallop edger. I used all three punches in this LO. Also some new papers and CS that came in the post last week and some ribboned lace that I got on Ebay.

I didn't feel the need for any journaling with this LO the photo and title tell enough of a story.
Other than walking the dogs and a little coffee and CSI I have no other plans for today so hopefully I can get stuck into to some more scrapping today :)
