SLYMI weeks 16 and 17

Week 17 -Layers and Lace
I LoVed this challenge!!!!
Layers and Lace just two of my favourite scrapping things!!!
I "lifted" this Fab LO from May's SI mag (page38) I think it's a beautiful LO really great for showing off some lush papers :)
I used some more of my new plant stamps, some RiffRaff chipboard flowers the pink ones are covered in PP, inked and then glazed, the blue flowers and the "P" in the title were painted and then heat embossed to some added sparkle. I added a few MM journal blocks and some buttons.
Week 16 - Get up and Scrap
(scrap in the am of the day)
Not a difficult one for me as I often get up really early on the weekend and spend a good few quiet hours at my table. I was however a little un-inspired by this challenge as I like some kind of brief in a challenge. This weeks got pushed to one side and I finally managed to complete it on the Sunday of week 17
In fact I'm really pleased with the LO and also pleased I held of completing it as some new stamps arrived on Friday and I was able to stamp the backing paper and the pink matting CS. I sanded the edges of the photo and added a dye cut title block, a couple of primas with over sized buttons some PM ribbon Ebay lace and a few more buttons.
Hey presto!!!! LO complete!

So that's me up to date until tomorrow :)

I so have gotta get one of these!!!!!

I have only just seen these advertised and I feel that I must have one!!!!!

never before have I felt the need for a electric dye cutter as i can't be bothered with the extra cards and cartridges needed to use them the ROBO doesn't do it for me as you have to have a laptop to make it portable and as I just killed my second lappy in two years I'm PC based now. but this little beauty works with your PC and via a memory card that you can download your titles and shapes onto :) I'm going to look into it a little more but I think one of these will be on my craft desk when my current litter of puppies have moved out to live with their new owners

Been a busy Ladybug this week - SLYMI 15

With all this lovely School holiday time on my hands I have spent a lovely few days just standing at my craft table scrapping away to my hearts content. Today I went to Sam's and completed two LO's while chatting to Sam and Zoe, drinking coffee and munching on fairy cakes (pink birthday ones at that).
TIME OUT
this is a Scraplift from a beautiful LO called "Contrast" that was pub'd in either SI or SBM not sure which.
SKYMI wk 15
"Live on the EDGE"
well we where standing on the edge of Shanklin Cliffs when these photos were taken watching the fog roll in off the sea. (another lift from one of the Scrapping mags. Original was called "out to sea")
It was a little spooky!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIKE
Using the same "lift" as above I did this LO of the hike we did on Sunday while celebrating mine and my friends birthdays. I just love the framing detail. think I'll be using this again.
SHHH...
I wanted a peaceful look to this LO.
So used a mix of papers from the Autumn Leaves "Manhattan range".

DID YOU KNOW THAT?

An old piece of I think K&Co?? some Bazzill and Thickers.
I think the photos are more than enough in this Lo to tell the story ;)

Easter LO's SLYMI week 14

I completed this LO Thursday morning I'm a total nightmare as I used all new stash for every part of this LO.
BLISS
This is the first time I have distressed the edges of any of my papers and I'm quite pleased with ow this has turned out. I started out by inking the edges and then just went for it with my sanding tools.
Loving these new tickets they are from the JBS (much better quality than her papers), some more new lace from Ebay, prima's buttons and gems (not new :) )

SLYMI week 14 - scrap something hidden.
CAMERA LESSONS
I took these self-portrait photos at the end of a fun day filled with camera lessons and people watching.

my hidden is Journaling under the main photo.
PP's and title tag are cosmo cricket, scalloped edge PP is Crate Paper and my CS is from an old multipack I never thought I'd use something in such a bright orange but I think it works well with the photos. .

Minibook madness......

I "had" piles of bits and pieces in my scrap box again at the start of the week. Knowing I wanted to make up a few mini-maze books for a friend I got stuck into the on Monday and this is the little pile I had finished by Tuesday evening.

the book with the large red flower on is for my Niece Lucie. her baby "Jack" is growing so quickly she send me loads of photos of him each month and I thought she would like this little book.

The Jade and Cream book is for my big sister Tanya, she has just bought a new puppy Ottis and I like to make her little books and photo pages just because.
Ottis Book

These three are all for my friend Trina, one for her mum one for her sister (mother of the children in the books) and the last for the proud Auntie herself.

Trina's books
each book is made from one sheet of 12x12 cream CS, a length of ribbon, two squares of chipboard covered in paper. I then just waded through all my scrap pieces of PP and added some pretties.

Wight Craft Crop

Unusually I didn't get allot done today at the crop, but I did complete these two LO's
this one is of myself and my Line Manager/Colleague/Chum taken on afternoon out with our class of year 10 students. When ever we are working together we always seem to have a real laugh, especially when we are out and about with our XL Club students.
I use some of my Jenni Bowlin Studio PP's (not too impressed with the quality of these) some Bazzill CS, MM noteworthy notepad, and a selection of primas and buttons.

This was my second LO of the day I love "People Watching" and this LO is made up of a huge pile of photos that I took while People Watching a few Sunday's ago on Compton beach.
I haven't got a clue what the PP is that I cut these flowers from????? it was a piece I found in my scrap box.

and I'll leave you with a photo that my friend Zoe took of me at today's crop.
