A weekends work

Sam (my crafty friend) and I spent some time together last weekend and got creative. I completed these two LO's.
The first is for my SLYMI wk 43 Scrap with flowers. The papers are all October afternoon, I used travel labels from a pack I got in the local book shop, some prima flowers and making memories alpha's

The second LO is of photos taken at our retreat the other weekend.
Just the nice Girls (sadly minus Kate who hadn't arrived when we went out) are pictured here. The same group of us have already planned to hold another retreat in Feb 2010

I used Bazzill Swiss dot, Stampin' Up papers and a selection of alpha's and some journal tags.

While waiting for Christmas ;)

I finished Lucie and Steve's Wedding album and Natalie and Lee's album (although the second is no where near the size of the first, I'm sure they will be happy with it). The following photos are all of Lucie and Steve's album which is now packed up ready for the Mr Postman. As well as the main album I have made two smaller books one for my sister and another for my mum, Two minibooks one for each of the bridesmaids. If you manage to get to the end of this photo heavy post. WELL DONE!!!
I warn you now it's a looooooong post!

Phew!!!!! and there's about another 10 pages I didn't post!

Thinking about Christmas

I'm already in the mood for Christmas and with that in mind I need to buy some new stash for my JYC That's Journal Your Christmas if ya don't know! I did this for the first time last year and loved every minute of it. Trav was really good at keeping me on task and reminding me with a few prompts that i couldn't miss a day here or there or I would get behind. I completed my journal last year on time on New Years day, I plan to do the same this year :) I think I will try something different this time around and make my pages 6x12. This is a size I have never scrapped before so it should be quite a challenge. My book last year was 8.5x11 the pages are here if you fancy a look.

I've had a quick look about the lovely shopping sites and so far I've chosen these papers from Making Memories, some matching Bazzill cardstock and 2 packs these lovely alpha's, I still need to find some nice numbers as each page is dated (unless I use my bigshot???) and a nice 6x12 album. The one I would like doesn't seem to be in stock any where.
I think this project is the most enjoyable one I have done of Shimelles (I have also taken part in SYD and SLYMI) maybe it's because Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year? Whatever the reason I can't wait until the 1st December when I can get that Christmas tree up and start creating in red and green :)

The Album is Completed! some ladybirds and a pregnant Cocker

At yesterdays minicrop round a friends house I completed 19 pages for the wedding album, once home I continued crafting and made a few more. Today I had a couple of Pups over for haircuts so thought crafting would be a no no for the day, Unfortunately two of my pups couldn't get over to the island so I was left with a whole afternoon free :) This gave me the chance to finish the Album all 44 pages (that's 88 8x8 LO's) the plan had been to keep this album smaller than the last one.
I FAILED!!!
Heaven knows how I'm going to get this album up to Lucie and Steve I'm sure it can't be posted! It's bound with the largest O rings I could find and they would only just seal together in the BIA. Hopefully they like it x

My lovely friends (who are just as bonkers as I am) gave me these lovely socks yesterday :) They make me smile!!!

Here's my lovely fat belly Maggie-Mae, she is five weeks gone today.

Lucie's album is coming along nicely

Just a few of the pages here to show how I'm getting on with Lucie's Album. I'm using O rings at the moment but once I'm happy there is enough pages and they are in the right order then the BIA will come out and they will be fixed in place forever ;)

I'm off out today crafting at the friends house and hopefully I can get a real move along with this album as It's well over a month now since the wedding.
A few last minute photos I had forgotten to order and a poem to be added for Jacks naming page.

What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday?

Its all a bit random really this week. I still haven't really recovered from the weekend, all my stash has been unpacked but I'm not sure I'll get the time to use it again before I pack it all up for Saturday (I'm off to a friends to craft with her for the day). Ready for the next retreat I have booked both the Friday before and the Monday after off work to give a full day to recover.
So on my desk today is a little of everything. i have Lucie's wedding album RUB out and it's ready to start using (maybe if I wasn't so shattered?) You can see the album over by my computer monitor. a cook book that I am taking into work tomorrow along with my MOT cert and my diary is out to mark in my hours for next week. That's all piled next to my Bucket bag so I remember to put it all in there afterwards. Behind the RUB is a box filled with matchboxes as I'm thinking about something for the kids at work, maybe getting them to make their own advent calendars??? not sure about that yet??? and in the far far right of the photo a few kinder bars left over from the weekend that I'm saving to eat while watching True Blood tonight.

Gracie-Lou (buckethead) and Molly-Jo are in their normal place beside my table. they have a bed there just for them and they get quite cross if the others get in that bed. Gracie is doing well after her op and we are hoping to get the last three stitches removed tomorrow. Then the bucket can come off. The backs of my legs are covered in bruises from her bashing past me!!
Queen Suki-Su is also in her normal place on the boot stool by the back door. From here she can see out into the garden and watch for Daddy at the back gate she can also keep an eye on any food that might be on my desk.
Below is Maggie-Mae she is confirmed pregnant :) this means we will have babies by the end of November and all over Christmas! I do love having a houseful of pups at Christmas :)
And this is Diggory who was trying to tell me it wasn't him that had made the bald patch on his teddies bottom. I don't believe him as no-one else is allowed to play with this teddy.
Right so I'm off to feed this little bunch and the old man (in that order) then I'm back to blogland to check out what your desks look like today.
