It seemed that everything was on our side. A parking space appeared right by the cinema entrance as we drove into the packed car park. Our tickets were delivered at amazing speed from the little red box on the wall I didn't even need order number I'd made sure (four times) I had safely recorded on my phone. The amount of people at the cinema worried me slightly we were an hour early for the showing but there were group of people there with camping chairs who (I overheard) had been there since 8pm!!!!!!! Not being the kind of girl to queue without reason I walked straight up to the doors and asked "Is there just one queue?" the guy asked our screen "11" i replied "we have just opened 11, go on in" was his response. Sam and I got fantastic seats! and the film was BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!
Now I'm sure there will be some out there that will complain. Yes they cut a fair bit out from the books (both Eclipse and The Short Second life of Bree Tanner were used). But they stayed true to the story as much as I could see (and I've read the books enough times) and there is only so much that can be fitted in a 2 hour film. I loved, LOVED!!!!! it and will be going back to the cinema again soon! very soon :)

Me too! I loved it wholeheartedly ;0) I LOVED the chase scene with wolves on one side of river and vampires on the other. So visual! Should you fancy seeing it again I'd happily join you ;0) Lovely to see you (briefly) last night. Looking forward to the crop. S xxxx
P.S. Did you have the man come in before the film and give the talk about not making too much noise in your screen? The rebel in me wanted to defy him. And there was a fair amount of whistling and cheering anyhow ;0) I have decided all films should be shown at midnight. I loved it! What an adventure (I live a sheltered life obviously). xx
yes we had the "Don't be Noisey" speech before it started. still plenty of "sighs" and cheering during our showing :)
I will be going to see it again I'll let you know what my plans are :)
i couldn't go as i am confined to bed with a bad back so my husband took our daughter in my place and they both came back and thoroughly enjoyed it! I have however seen it online today;-) and enjoyed it too, so am hoping i can get upright and mobile again soon so i can visit our local cinema, i'm so glad you enjoyed it cos i've heard some negative views and this has disappointed me, hope you enjoy it more next time you see it
xx
I obviously need to go see one of these actually at a cinema - the atmosphere alone sounds amazing. Wonder why the dafties were queuing like that!
I think I need to watch the other two without (the younger)kids and Craig huffing at how boring it is - think that may have tinged my enjoyment of them. Will borrow them off my sis again and maybe take Devvie to see this one at the cinema ;)
It was a damn sight better than the first two films but there were some lines taken straight from the book that just seemed out of context with the film (the 'Switzerland' comment being a perfect example), it was almost like they were determined to stick as close to the book as poss and it didn't work for me (also having read them more times than I can count!)
