Oh BALLS!!!

I tidied away before I remembered I was planning to do my WOYWW (Tuesday night) post. I found this great Idea on Heather Bailey's blog the other day and though it was a fun way to keep some of my favourite papers, also I'm always looking for preety things to make for my craft space.
The largest Ball is made with 20 4" circles I cut them on my Cricut and scored them at 1". For the two middle balls I used my largest circle punch which is 3" each shape was scored at 3/4" and for the smallest ball I used a 1 3/8" punch I think these were scored at 1/4". this one is having problems staying together. possibly due to the crystal heart hanging from it. I originally used my glue roller, then I double sided it. If it comes down again I think it's time for the glossy accents to come out. The largest ball has cut quite deeply into a new pile of OA papers. and the middle balls took half a mini stack of Cosmocricket. but I'm really happy with them and am thinking about making another trio of them, to hang in the downstairs WC as a corner piece.

Edited to add; if you do make these to hang from the ceiling. Just using glue won't be enough to keep them from falling apart after a while. I have added a staple (or two to the larger ball) to ever glued fold. Once they are hanging you won't notice the staples.

Also a quick photo of Boo ( at 21 weeks old) so you can all see just how much she is growing. She's got a real thing for watermelon, just like Trav. But thankfully she prefers the husk and he prefers the flesh. If you are playing along with Julia's WOYWW don't forget to pop by her blog and leave a comment. I'm at work for most of Wednesday but will be doing the rounds on Blogland when I return home (once the dogs are fed and watered.

I have been looking for something like that to decorate my scraproom and those are perfect. I have been debating ordering the mobile kit from scrapbook heaven (http://www.scrapbookheavenga.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=887&products_id=10425&zenid=90c712fe5014986d973261b7a24a7d) but right now I am trying not to spend...these however I could make out of scraps at home(which I have lots of) and it wouldn't cost me anything...perfect! Plus, I don't know what the mobile will look like as there is no pic of it up yet...Is there a trick to these or is it simply making circles and scoring them about an inch in and then adhering them together? How many circles does one typically take to make a whole ball. Thanks for posting this...these are awesome!
