Report on a craft stall

Well after two very long days (not as long as some, as
we jumped ship early both days) I can report that running a craft stall is NOT the job for me. Not only did I make very few sales I'm totally shattered from just sitting around all day, although not surprised that I didn't make piles of money, I am a little disappointed at the total lack of interest on the look of most peoples faces as the walked zombie-like around the craft Market.

Sadly I think many of them where just in here to 1: shelter from the rain on saturday and 2: escape from the man on the pa system in the main show-ring. However as we are already booked up for the Wolverton show and the cards are all ready, we had decided to attend and make the most of being based next to the isle of Wight fudge company for the weekend.

Who is that lovely lady in the background? She looks like she is pretending to be doing something important and oh so busy *lol* All in all I had a lovely weekend. Just a shame people werent in the mood to spend a bit more ;0( xxxx

I sometimes wonder about craft stalls ... you are not the first to report a lack of sales ...is it that too many now make their own cards ...or is it that the customer wants something for nothing. I think it is a real shame....still ... bonus being next to a fudge company.xx

I'm sorry to here you wont be retiring on your profits from the craft show. Perhaps Wolverton will be more spectacular xx

Oh, how disappointing. Kudos to you for trying it though - your stall looks gorgeous. Like Angie, I wonder whether people appreciate the time and work that goes into handmade items. Well, the only people I know who do are the people who are crafters themselves!

Hopefully the next one will go better - and if not, you can eat fudge!
