Retreat makings.

I got back yesterday from Totland where I spent a wonderful weekend away crafting with some fantastic friends. On our third attempt at planning and running a retreat we seem to have got the mix of people attending just right! we had a great time crafting and laughing....... Some jokes and stories (Alison) were ruder than others!
What a brillant weekend!!! Although I am buying a ATG gun before the next one..... it won't be so easy to "lose" off of my crafting mat!!! Zoe and Alison!!!!! I'm so looking forward to doing it all again at the next one in February 2011 (tickets all sold). So to all my wonderful scrappy friends Sami, Teresa, Zoe, Sarah, Alison, Anna, Nicole, Diane, Julia, Debs, Katie, Julia and Lynda a huge THANK YOU for helping make our retreat so damn good!!!

Over the three days I'm pleased to say I completed 13 layouts! in a mix of 12x12 and 81/2x11. I have posted some here and others you will have to wait to see as they are for the weekly WCC challenges.
week 32 - Could it be Magic?
A few weeks back I attended a Wicca handfasting (wedding) It was a beautiful day, the Bride and Groom looked fantastic and Trav took some lovely photos. I used October afternoon paper and a scrap of something else? along with two sheets of bazzill. I borrowed Alison's EK success star board and corner punch and distressed the edges of my PP.

Every year Trav buys me a star to hang on the Christmas tree. I love that even though it's a new thing it's still one of our Family Traditions. He always puts so much effort into finding me a pretty and different star. I look forward to my new star each year almost more than Christmas day it's self. not sure what the papers are. I found them in my paper tote as scraps and thought hey look christmassy enough to use for this LO. The journal tags are new to me from the American SU catalogue.

I have left the journal spots empty on this LO for the next time I see my beautiful Nieces to fill out themselves. I didn't quite make the full challenge this time as I missed out the olive green that was required and added the red journal spot to match the photos. Just Bazzill cardstock for this LO.

Ten things about "Bella the Pest". I have used some MME papers for this LO and had a play with the sewing machine for a change. the flower was cut in half and layered.,the journal spot and stamped words are MYB stamps.

I used a couple of sheets of Sassafrasslass papers for this LO. some Maya Road chipboard pieces, two of my favourite punches and a couple of OA stickers. I also Gesso'd the CS before I started for the white washed look.

The following LO's are all just for myself no challenges to follow here.
Super Travis.
This one has Journaling on the back as I didn't want to take anything away from the huge star! I just cut the star off the yellow paper it was on, added some blue CS a yellow thicker to his T-shirt and a title nice and quick but I love it!

Never Again
I'm really pleased with how this LO turned out. It looks just as I pictured it would. I used my all time favourite papers OA. used the sewing machine to make a pocket for journaling tags, borrowed Sarah's beautiful butterfly punch :)

Gee Up!
this Lo was completed with a mix of scraps and three colours of Bazzil CS. I used two different cricut carts to cut the title and added glossy accents to the Gee and ! to make the stand out.
and my last Layout.

Auntie

Ths is the only page I used my new WRMK's papers on. I had cut them up earlier in the day but just couldn't work with the bright colours. thankfully they haven't gone to waste as I enjoyed used them for this LO.

So that's it....... well that all the ones i can show you for now anyhow.
take care and have a good week at whatever you are doing.

LOVE your LOs P (also loving the new blog layout- I am definitely loving the owls! Although after hundreds of punchings of owls I may not be quite so enamoured soon ;0) My favourite of your Retreat LOs (aside from the one I'm in obviously ;0) is your traditions one. So lovely. I love that Trav buys you a star each year. Such a thoughtful tradition. See you on Saturday xxx
