A weekend just for me :)

My Lovely mate Sami lent me the first three seasons of Supernatural on DVD on Thursday. I hadn't seen a single episode of this show until this weekend and now I'm hooked!!! I have spent the last three days propped at my desk watching Sam and Dean hunt down all kinds of nastiness. and of course while sat at my desk I've kept myself nice and busy!!!

As well as preparing a minibook kit, prepping some cards and button bracelet making pack, I have made a A3 Reward card with cut out cricut princess's and sparkles for a little autistic girl I work with. Once work things were out of the way i settled down to make some bits for myself. here's this weekends makings.

A LOVE wall hanging

Some easel cards
(I saw someone had made these a few weeks ago while I was wandering through WOYWW? but can't remember which blog- so thank you for the idea whoever you are)

My Babies are growing so quickly.

The pups are almost four weeks old now and have already started to eat solid foods. They are doing a really great job with this new food type, managing to eat more than they wear (for a change). They also moved into the large crate this evening as the nesting box was getting that bit too small for playing and sleeping and the much needed poohing (now that the food stuff has changed Suki has stopped cleaning house).
Trav
and I took some close up photos this evening, hope you enjoy them.

Felting none fail :)

After the weekends felting fail.
I'm over the moon today :) from this felted jumper (the brown one).

I made this bag to hold my lovely new stash of crochet wool.

It is a little uneven, but this is the first time I've ever felted or sewn anything, and I'm very pleased with the finished product. I followed this brilliant tutorial.
I'm using this project as my something "Altered" (is that what you would call altered Julia?) for this weeks WCC challenge

WOYWW? too many projects at once!

Happy Wednesday all!!!
This is my desk this morning piled high with "stuff" I'm working on. You should be able to see a new pile of photos ready for scrapping. I doubt I'll get around to them today or even tomorrow as I'm going to have a play with two of the jumpers that agreed to felt for me last night. they are folded on the left of my desk. The red jumper is having a third go in the machine as I type. Behind the jumpers in the blue Cath Kidston bag I have another project. it's full of beautiful balls of wool (see below) I'm determined to learn how to crochet......... although so far I'm pretty shocking at this new skill! however practice makes perfect and as I have the wool I refuse to give up. I WILL make a granny blanket!!!
I popped into Ryde yesterday afternoon and found myself in one of my favourite shops. "Crocus Interiors" where i saw these little blue ladybird shoes! a perfect gift for Liam me thinks! I also bought the three metal flower buttons and a few metal love tags. 3D glasses in the corner left over from Sunday night's trip to see Alice (I really must find somewhere to stash them for future use!).
and lastly the beautiful wool that i intend to make my blanket from.

Have a good Wednesday and if you fancy seeing everyone else's desks pop by Julia's blog and follow Mr linky.

Exciting Baby news from a Grt-Auntie

I received these this morning via txt message from my youngest niece KP she is 20 weeks pregnant and has just been told that she is having a little blue baby :)

I'm sure she won't mind me sharing her bump :)
I'm so excited at becoming a grt-Auntie again :) can't wait to meet little Liam.

Felting Fail!

After seeing this fantastic bag, which believe it or not is made out of an old Jumper. I just had to have a go.
So Sunday morning I raided Trav's wardrobe for a 100% wool jumper (one he no longer needs of course) ran it through the washer twice on boil wash tumbling in between on hot in the hopes I could sit down that afternoon and create myself a work of art.

Sadly it was not to be:( after four....... yes Four! boil washes I gave up!!!
The damn thing just would not felt!!!!! (so into the dog basket it has gone).

Round two started this afternoon with a trip into Ryde and a visit to a few charity shops. I have come away with three jumpers all of which clearly say on the tag; 100% wool - wash at 30* - do not tumble dry. I'll let you know how I get on.

A little injection of cuteness

JUst a little Awwwwwwwwwwwww for a Thursday evening :)
These are Suki-Su's pups they will be three weeks old on Sunday.
So far we just have names for Sam and Honey.
The rest are named for the colour of the collar they wear. I don't like to give them names that will then change once they have been chosen by their owners.

WOYWW?

On my desk today is my first "bringing back Snailmail" penfriend letter! I have sent out two letters to ladies, one in the States and one in Canada. But this is my first letter in and it's from Connie in New Jersey. I was so chuffed when it arrived this morning that I made a coffee and sat down straight away to read it. I'm planning to write my reply to her this evening.
Also on my desk I have some new items. the first is this cute little jug that I'm using as a pen pot. I saw this a few weeks back in "My house" and when I popped in there yesterday they only had one left, so I had to buy it :)
The next two new items have been made for me by my very clever friend Teresa. The material is left over from when she made me a apron a few months back. this cover is for my cricut.
and this one covers my printer.

Teresa's so clever! don't ya think :)

Time......

Where on earth has the time gone??? I can't believe it's almost Wednesday again and I haven't posted since WOYWW?
Saturday I spent the day with the Wight Craft Crop. I made four LO's and I very happy with all of them.

I started this one Friday evening , when I was messing about with a stencil brush and some chalk inks. I used the hole (butterfly shape) was left over on a dyecut sheet after removing the butterfly. i just used it as a stencil. Then on Saturday I built the LO around the butterflies.

This LO sits on the opposite page to my "being Bailey" LO I made last week.
Me and my Dad :)
I was determined to get a photo of Alison and I together. I have about another ten of these "not good" photos and 1 that is ok (ish) we really are a nightmare together :)
Then on Sunday I interviewed two families who would like to become owners of our pups. I also completed my LO for this weeks WCC challenge.

Sam's son found this lost and unloved stuffed toy on the beach last week. Diggory was over joyed to have a new teddy to love and rescued it every time it was thrown in the sea. We brought it home gave it two turns in the washing machine and it's now living in Diggi's nighttime bed with the new name Puppu-Dog. Gracie tells the full story here

WOYWW?

Nothing today. I have a beautifully clear and clean desk, all ready for a new project. I did just finish putting the patterned paper on all the pages of my Document 2010 book. So all I have to do each month is add photos and do the journaling. Nice and quick :)
As my desk is lacking in crafty niceness I thought I'd show you my February pages that I completed last week.

and these two new little ladies joined me at the weekend after seeing them in Next I just had to have them :)
Pop on over to Julia's blog and see what everyone else is up to.
