All about Liam & Mummy

I've just completed two more Liam centred layouts. The first is of my sister having her first Nanna cuddles at the hospital with him. Now I know pink is normally put aside for girls, and Liam is most definitely a boy! But I had this lovely pink spotty paper and so badly wanted to use it. My excuse is it matches the October Afternoon farm paper and I wanted to use this paper with the little sheep on as my sister has taken to calling Liam "little Lamb". All the papers are OA the chipboard trees are mayaroad and the cardstock is as always Bazzill.
I've had these photos for a few weeks now but hadn't got around to doing anything with them. Even now that Liam is here I still have some more "bump" photos that i want to work with. these where taken early August and poor KP was really suffering in the heat. So her lovely man took her to the seaside for the day to cool off. Again I have used October Afternoon papers and journal cards, some thickers for the title, a sheet of Bazzill that I have painted with Gesso and some Stampin' Up Kraft CS
TFL and have a happy Friday :)

WOYWW? been away for a while

I'm making a quick blog post before work this morning. I've been away from WOYWW for a while now and really miss all the desks. working full time really isn't good for my sole (this is being looked into and hopefully I will be working less hours s soon). My desk is all tidy this morning as I hate to leave anything laying about on it while I'm not creating. I have finally joined the iPhone movement and you can see that plugged in next to my green plant pot (used as a table bin). I'm still on the hunt for a large black crafting mat and so far have only found a A1 (too large) priced at £44 (too expensive), so I will remain looking I fear until I can find a A2 at a better price. At the other end of the desk you can see I have succumbed and bought another mini table tote. I find these so handy! I tend (rather tended) to go out and craft so being able to grab both mini totes, and knowing I have all my favourite tools is a godsend for me. I also popped into Ikea on the way back to the island last week and bought a desk tidy. I spent all day Sunday painting the box and cutting out 2" squares of papers I like. I then made a paper pattern of each panel and stitched the squares onto it. I still might add something else......... maybe some flowers? My latest layout is displayed on my woyww clipboard.

Also I just had to show you this Family frame from next. Isn't it FAB! I think I might alter it slightly I just love the colour ;) so it won't have much done to it. Pop by to Julia's blog and leave a link and a comment if you're playing along with

Two more nephew layouts

I love the digital world we live in! Just think if my Grt-Nephews had been born just a few short years ago I would have had to wait ages to see photos of them, they would have come through the post as 4x6 photos that would need to be sent away for copies to be made and the quality was never the best when copying print from print. Now it's as easy as logging on to Facebook to see the most recent photos taken just hours (or minutes in my youngest facebook addicted niece's case) ago. Having photos emailed through to my computer makes me happy :) I can edit them and print them out as many times as I like at whatever size I want. Perfect!!!!! I couldn't be a happier Auntie :) unless of course I had these lovely little men right here in my arms.

Yesterdays Digital delights lead to this layout, which is designed to match the "overdue" layout from the weekend.
"you are so worth the wait"
This layout of Jack at the beach is for the Wight Craft Circle weekly Challenge, this weeks prompt being "Life's a Beach". I wanted to try something different for the title this week so cut some letters in "shadow" out of scrap paper i attached the to the CS and brushed ink over them. I them removed the letters and was left with the inked outlines. I liked this be felt it still needed some depth so cut some more letter this time not in the shadow and layered them over the inked images. I also added some faux white stitch lines with my white gel pen. The papers and journal stickers I have used are both from October afternoon

Yesterdays Layouts

These are the four layouts I completed yesterday at the crop. the first two are for the Wight Craft Circle Weekly challenge "Scrap with us"

Week 24 was "Accessorize". I used three sheets of Bazzill (Sherbert, Java and Maraschino) and One sheet of October Afternoon PP from the Roadtrip range. Sam kindly gave me a mini chipboard bucket and spade which i covered and coated with GA. I cut the beach huts from left over CS and added some new gems as little door handles. The title is cut with my cricut using the DonJuan Cart ( i used this font on all my LO's yesterday).
gingys make great makeshift beach hats
Week 25 was "Guilty Pleasures". for this LO I used a sheet of PP bought at CTM this week (not sure of the brand) and two more sheets of bazzill (Sherbert and left over watermelon from another LO) a couple of OA journal cards and some tiny prima flowers.
caught redhanded spending again

Then as I was all caught up with the challenges and I had a whole bunch of new photos from my nieces. I had a go at two pregancy layouts of KP (my youngest niece). I took this photo on Tuesday during my trip to the North Island (mainland UK) and I love it!!! I used some more of the un-named papers I got from CTM some more Jave Bazzill CS (along with more leftovers in sherbert and watermelon) two beautiful journal cards from "Little Yellow Bicycle", a chipboard heart and my new scalloped square punch.
over due, waiting for youPregnancy LO#2 using the same book of journaling cards, the dyecut paper is making memories i think (I've had it a while now) and some Bazzill CS (lagoon and green tea). I have been pestering KP to send me regular "bump" photos since I found out she was pregnant. I hope she is as going to be as good at sending photos of Liam now he has arrived :)
9 months and counting still

The arrival of Liam

I received the wonderful news that this morning at 5:33 my youngest niece Kirsten finally gave birth to her first child. Liam weighed in at a whopping 8lb 1/2oz (Kirsten is only a little dink)

I understand from my sister who was at the birth mother and child are doing well. I'm over the moon to be a grt-aunt again, I just hope the next one is a girl ;)

Saturday spent scrapping

I spent all day today with the lovely Wight craft circle ladies. Having the whole day to craft was wonderful, I haven't been able to complete more than one card for well over a week now and today's crafting was just what I needed. I was able to catch up on all my missing challenge layouts. Well almost all of them I still need to work on this weeks LO. I took a quick snap of mine and Sam's desks at the crop, mid project for Sam I'd just finished a Layout.

And here are the four Layouts I completed today. I have to add some more GA to some of the titles once I get home and then when the sun is up I'll take some better photos of them. I'm really pleased with the amount of scrapping done today. More news is that by the morning I should be a Great-Auntie again. My youngest niece was taken in to hospital late this evening with baby Liam (who is now a week late) well on the way. I can see another ABC album in my future :)

Report on a craft stall

Well after two very long days (not as long as some, as
we jumped ship early both days) I can report that running a craft stall is NOT the job for me. Not only did I make very few sales I'm totally shattered from just sitting around all day, although not surprised that I didn't make piles of money, I am a little disappointed at the total lack of interest on the look of most peoples faces as the walked zombie-like around the craft Market.

Sadly I think many of them where just in here to 1: shelter from the rain on saturday and 2: escape from the man on the pa system in the main show-ring. However as we are already booked up for the Wolverton show and the cards are all ready, we had decided to attend and make the most of being based next to the isle of Wight fudge company for the weekend.

Chale Show

I'm off to Chale Show today with Sarah to have my first craft stall. Sarah and I have gone halves on a stand (I was amazed!!!!! at how much they charge). And I'm sure you have guessed what my "half"stall is to be called............ Why Ladybird Ladybird! of course :)
I'm all packed up and ready to leave (it's still way too early to go yet), I have enough food to feed a small army so Sarah and I won't go hungry or thirsty that's for sure. and at least we will have something to do if no-one stops to buy anything.
The weather is awful today not really Summer Show weather at all. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not? does it mean the damp weather will drive everyone into the craft tent? or will they just stay away from the show altogether? Chale from all accounts is normally very well attended. Lets hope this year is no exception.
fingers crossed for me please that I do well and at least make a few sales :)
