Doggie disaster strikes the craftroom

Ok..... so if you are of a delicate disposition? read no further!!! look away now!!!!!
This was what I returned to after a mornings shopping (for the dogs at PAH ). I thought Gracie and Diggory had looked so peaceful asleep on the bunk beds in my craft room I did disturb them when I left for the morning. Oh how silly of me!!!!! Gracie (and yes I know it would have been her), had systemically gone through all my stash and found anything in a crinkly packet Gracie thought; crinkly packets hold food!!!!! sadly for her she found no food but my new maya road chipboard alphas were tasted regardless, just in case!
I'm not quite sure what she thought my anirondack paint dabber was but she had a good go at eating most of the red pepper one, thankfully it tasted so bad she left the rest alone. Amongst all the mess were blue and red paw prints! "Someone!" had opened a new packet of printer refils and eaten not only the red cartridge but the blue one as well! I spent a good hour scrubbing ink out of my carpets after removing it first from said "someones" paws and chops!!!

Diggory caught RED and BLUE pawed!
Thankfully other than two ink cartridges, the paint pot and a few chewed alphas, there was no real damage. neither of the dogs had any ill effects from their adventure and I'm pleased to say other than a slight blue hue to the carpet (which is planned for replacement next year) my craft room is a haven of creativity once more. Here's the LO I completed after clearing up the dogs crafting efforts!
have a great weekend I know I will!

Sunday is a day of rest! Phah!!! not in this house!!

I've had an immensely busy day today! I was up at the crack of dawn as Stan and Bella needed to go out. Once awake I have great difficulty getting back to sleep so I tried reading for a bit but the craft room was calling me. I made a good start on a Layout for a future WWC challenge before my first visitor arrive for his haircut not long after Trevor (a blue roan cocker spaniel) arrived a very hairy Digby and his owner knocked on the door . I had these two boys clipped and bathed in no time ready for their owners to collect so thought I get a few of my own on the table, so followed Diggory, Bella, Gracie and Suki to the shaving parlour. by the time I had finished all of them I had a large bin liner filled with dog hair clipping and I was covered as well. this afternoon Sami and her family came by to visit Oakley (their new puppy). Trav was out all day making tip runs and breaking down in his van (AA man was called out twice!!). After dinner I moved back up to the craft room and finished the layout I had started earlier in the day.

I can only show sneaks but it's another LO I'm really pleased with!

Bye-bye spare room.........

Hello craft room!!
Trav and I have been planning for a few weeks now to move both our hobby area's into the larger of our spare rooms. I normally spread all my craftiness about what should to be the dinning room and he has his "office" in the box room. The plan was to make the box room the spare room and the dinning room a dinning room (amazing!!!). However that was plan A, and things didn't go quite to plan! After Trav spent a good 45 mins taking the beds to pieces so we could stack them we worked out there just isn't enough room for the both of us in one room! Between us we have three desks two tables and three shelving units. No matter how we worked it, someone was going to be cramped into a corner! So plan B came into action. simples just move my stuff into the spare room and make the twin beds back into bunks! It took us all day to move the room around and then move ALL my stuff upstairs. seriously I didn't realise i had so much stuff and I haven't even looked in my Monica cupboard yet! (Sam I might need some help here!!). The next phase is making the empty space downstairs into a dinning room ready for Yule.

Here are some photos I took this morning of the finished room.
I still want to buy another small Expedit (4 pod) to stand in the corner under the window for the hard drive and room for more albums. But that can come later. I have my 8 pod expedit on it's side now, for more work space it makes the perfect printer, cricut work bench. My spotty table has become a display area, rather than a storage area now. It's quickly cleared and can be opened up for much more work space .

Trav moved my shelves upstairs as well.

My desk is under the window to make full use of the natural afternoon sunlight. I'm really pleased with the finished room and can't wait to make something while tucked away upstairs away from the noise of the telly and the dogs playing. Although I did have to make one or two dog excuses and allow Digg and Gracie entrance into my creative space.......

I think they are quite happy with their side of the bargain!
Have a great Sunday everyone!!

I Love my Molly-Jo

Molly-Jo my eldest girl will be turning 13 in January, she isn't very well at the moment (just feeling her age I fear), this morning while I was looking back over some old Christmas photos I found some of her with her first litter of pups (second photo in on first LO). I was amazed how "black" she was back then and couldn't remember her turning into the old grey face she is now....... how and when did she get so old??
I was sad at seeing how much she has aged and thought I would scrap a page in her honour using some photos taken over the years. Sorry for the poor colours it's dark out now and I had to take these without a flash as I was using glossy photos.
I have taken my inspiration for this layout from Wendys amazing work. I adore how she layers her embellishments, and wish I had half her talent. I'm really pleased with how this DLO has turned out and I love the little dog cards from the paper pups cricut cart.
I made a real effort on this LO to use things that I haven't even looked at in a while, so I used buttons, lace and ribbon, cracked open my prima jar and my "little things" box. I also used some of my stampin' Up stamps for journal tags and the larger butterfly.

Some layouts about Carys

At the crop last Saturday I concerted on getting some LO's completed about Carys. my first is for one of our future challenges over on the Wight Craft Circle. I have used some glimmer mist to splatter across the kraft CS and then just a few strips of paper, accessorising with just a few butterflies and some flowers punched and cut from the same sheet of paper. The photo is rubbish but it's the only one I have of my first cuddle with this lovely little lady.

This LO is of my beautiful chum just taken just days before Carys was born. They had chosen not to find out what sex the baby would be so I was over the moon to find out Carys was a girl, as I had had a dream months back that they would have a little girl. I have used the same line of PP as the on the LO above
and finally my third and last LO announcing the birth of little Carys Ann Coltman, using all crate paper PP, a few dye cut shapes and a small cut off from the LO's above.

I the finished bed throw

I have finished my blanket and it is huge!!!!! I daren't even think about how many balls of merino it's taken to hook this bed throw but I do know It was worth it. It was our seven year wedding anniversary on Thursday (which is woolen). I finished the blanket on Friday evening and gave it to Trav as our (joint) anniversary gift. He was quite happy curled up on the sofa under it with Gracie until I took it back and put it on the bed.The part that took the longest (or at least felt like it did) was doing the scalloped trim around the edge I used over 400grams of wool to do three rounds of dc and then the row of scallop If I could have changed anything it would be to have used more yellow but I couldn't find any, anywhere on the island. Over all I couldn't be happier with it! and I think Gracie and Diggory are pretty pleased with it as well.

WWYWD

I'm posting this as I really should be getting ready for work. But what the hell!!! Here's my workdesk this morning I'm working on a bed throw for our room. You can also see I have a busy selection of crafting items in disarray all over the desk.

This is how big the throw is so far

I still need to do at least four maybe five more rounds and then a pretty border. I'm really enjoying hooking at the moment it's something I can do in the comfy chair with a dog on my lap, paper crafting has kinda gone by the wayside a bit but hopefully that's just a lull leasing up to starting my JOY next month. Happy Wednesday All

Angie from Shozzy's Place asked what did you look like 20 years ago?

Well it took some finding but here I am in 1991 at Disney Land, Florida.

And then again slightly later the same year in Germany, with my youngest niece (the one who just had a baby!!!) seriously who wears glasses like that?????
Come on how brave are you??? post of a photo of yourself taken 20 (ish) years ago!! leave a comment on Angie's blog so we can see what you looked like way back then.
