Poppies and Corn for the Handfasting

Over the last few days I with the help of Sami, have been trying to get all the decorations ready for the handfasting (a pagan wedding). Our theme is Poppies, so most objects are going to be black or red. Although there will be a little cream added into the mix. So far we have completed all the headdress's, the additions to any hats that the guys are wearing, these beautiful hearts that will hang around the plot from the trees. A close up of the flowers on the heart

These four bunches will be attached to the elemental candles which is why they have different coloured ribbons (green -Earth, yellow -Air, red -Fire, blue -Water) I still need to make two more bunches one for the Goddess and one for the God (silver and gold ribbons) but I need to buy more Poppies as I have run out. We still have plenty to do; favours, table dec's, painting the candle jars and making 40 or so mini broomsticks to hang from the trees. It's amazing how quickly the time is passing just 12 weeks left now :)
